“Four months after my shoulder surgery (3/20/17) I hiked the Hope Lake trail near Telluride (3.3 miles each way, moderate terrain) with my 4 sons and 2 daughters-in-law (photos below). Ten weeks ago I was re-learning how to walk with both arms.  I also met the original goal we set of playing 18 holes of golf within 4 months, which I did twice this week in Telluride.

I still have a little more work to do in reaching full range of motion, especially external rotation (very stubborn) and getting back to full strength, but overall I’m very happy with my progress considering I’m almost 62.  I never imagined I would recover so quickly after such a serious injury.

Thanks again for everything you and your team at the Steadman Clinic and Howard Head PT did to help me recover from my shoulder injury.”
