Prior to returning to school, he worked numerous years in fire and rescue in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he specialized in hazardous material and mass crisis emergency response. In 1997, Jason received his Bachelor of Science in Recombinant Genetic Techniques from Western Kentucky University. Jason is an avid mountain biker and adventure racer, who never misses the Kentucky Derby. He and his wife have three young boys and lovingly declare their home “casa de chaos.”
Sarah grew up near Pittsburgh, PA and completed her Physician Assistant studies at Duquesne University. Following college in 2016, she accepted her first PA position with a large neurosurgery group near Washington, DC. After two years of big city living, she decided to move west and landed in Colorado. She has developed a passion for the operating room with 3 years of neurosurgery experience and 3 years of interventional pain management. She currently resides in Vail with her long-term boyfriend, Chase and her dog, Beast. On her weekends, Sarah enjoys trail running, camping, skiing, and mountain biking.
After her two years in Florida, Olivia moved to Vail to complete her Athletic Training Fellowship at The Steadman Clinic. Recently completing the program, Oliva now joins Dr. Millett’s team as an Athletic Trainer. Olivia enjoys traveling, cooking, being outdoors, exercising, drawing and relaxing with friends and family. More recent exciting news includes her marriage to Nathan Neff, a Physical Therapist with Howard Head. Although temporarily living in Vail, they have big dreams of owning a tiny home someday.
Christian joins us after working the past 7 years as a high school athletic trainer. He attended undergrad at West Chester University in Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in athletic training. During his early clinical rotations, he developed a strong passion for helping the high school athletic population. Christian takes pride in helping the high school athletes, not only with their sport related injuries but also being a mentor for them as well. In 2021, Christian completed his master’s degree in exercise physiology with a concentration in sport psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, he accepted a job at Vail Christian High School here in the Vail Valley. Christian then joined Dr. Millett’s team in July of 2023, looking to broaden his clinical expertise in the athletic training profession. He has been an asset to our team, learning quickly and having a great team mentality.
When not at work, Christian enjoys spending time with his dog, Ava, on hikes deep into the Rocky Mountains as well as weekend long camping trips to the desert. In the winter, you can find him on either Vail or Beavercreek Mountain snowboarding with his friends. Christian is very active and spends most nights at his local gym and playing intermural sports on the weekends as well!
Wanting something a little more than what the Midwest had to offer, she moved to Vail, Colorado in 2014 and started working at the Vail Valley Surgery Center. There, she scrubbed in with surgical cases assisting all of The Steadman Clinic physicians. During her 2 years in the operating room, Amanda specialized in assisting Dr. Millett’s surgical procedures. In 2016, Amanda received the opportunity to officially join Dr. Millett’s team as his Surgical Coordinator. Through her hands-on experience in the operating room, Amanda brings a unique knowledge base and expertise to help assist patients through the surgical process.
Amanda is a die-hard dog lover and enjoys mountain biking, getting swole at CrossFit, and all things creative. Between Winter and Summer in the mountains, Amanda prefers Summer. Amanda and her husband Ryan live in Avon with their energetic puppy rescue Fiona.
Rita has been working for The Steadman Clinic for 3 years and just recently joined Dr. Millett’s team. She was born in Mexico and raised in Vail Valley. She graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing.
Rita came back to the valley to be closer to her family. She has always enjoyed being a very active individual, from mountain biking, hiking, and camping in the summer; to snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winter. She also enjoys being part of the community and being associated with various non-profit organizations in our valley. She has been part of The Cycle Effect, Guardian Scholars, and SOS. Involvement in the community is a big part of Rita’s upbringing. Rita loves all things food and outdoors. She enjoys helping others and always learning new things.
