Abstract:
Dr. Millett joined a group of renowned elbow surgeons that conducted a study on the anatomy of the triceps brachii tendon and discussed options related to surgery for triceps tendon ruptures. Using eight cadaveric elbows, dissections were conducted to view the anatomy of the triceps brachii tendon. In each cadaver, the group of elbow surgeons, including Dr. Peter Millett, noted the size of the ruptures, the anatomy surrounding the tears, and important implications for surgery for triceps tendon ruptures. The study by each elbow surgeon led to consistent findings and can be reviewed in detail in the study: Surgical Anatomy of the Triceps Brachii Tendon. You can review more articles on the elbow on this site for further study.
