Peter Millett MD, recently treated former Duke and NBA player Shavlik Randolph for a shoulder injury. Coming in at 6 feet 10 inches, Randolph currently plays as a power forward for the Foshan Long Lions in China. He traveled across the globe to see Dr. Millett for treatment of his shoulder and was more than willing to give back to the community of Vail, Colorado.
After getting treated, Randolph went to St. Clare of Assisi Parish middle school to talk to the girls basketball team. Randolph spoke to them about following their dreams and the importance of sportsmanship. “It was absolutely my pleasure. They were amazing listeners and a joy to talk to,” said Randolph.
“Having travelled all the way from China to see us, I know Shav really is impressed not only with the medical care, but also with the whole Vail Valley. It was so kind of him to take time to share some wisdom with our future stars and the community of St. Clare’s,” said Dr. Millett. We look forward to seeing Shav back on the court in China, and watching our St. Clare’s basketball team here in the Vail Valley.
