abcDr. Peter J. Millett, orthopedic shoulder surgeon and sports medicine specialist with The Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO, recently submitted a feature on “Snapping Scapula Syndrome” to Arthroscopy, a leading medical journal. The feature has been approved to be published in the coming weeks. Arthroscopy is the leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of arthroscopic surgery and minimally-invasive medical procedures. Every issue enables medical professionals and surgeons to put into perspective the usefulness of the various emerging arthroscopic techniques.

Dr. Millett’s upcoming article is an important paper on snapping scapula syndrome and will feature the largest series of patients to be recorded for analysis. A snapping scapula (also referred to as scapulothoracic bursitis) is the description given to a condition of the shoulder that can cause a range of symptoms most often associated with a painful clicking, grinding or snapping of the shoulderblade area.

Arthroscopy is ranked 8th out of 56 journals in Orthopaedics category on the 2010 Journal Citation Reports®.
